Major General Hossein Salami, head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said his country had state-of-the-art naval technology to thwart any enemy aggression. He says Iran's military will not allow anyone to carry out aggression against the country.
This was stated by General Hussein Salami on Sunday while inspecting the IRGC's Marine Unit in the Caspian Sea north of Iran. He was accompanied by Brigadier General Ali Reza Tangsiri, Commander of the IRGC Naval Branch.
General Salami said the strong position of the Iranian people and its military made it possible to thwart any aggression by an external enemy.
He added that until the success of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, all of Iran's military infrastructure was under the control of others. As a result, Iran's military power depended on the mercy of others. But after the Islamic Revolution, we have been able to acquire a high level of military capability and technology that has made the heart of the enemy tremble. At present we have been able to dominate the sea and the destinations of the sea have increased a lot.
Maj. Gen. Hussein Salami said in his speech that no country can determine the fate of the Iranian nation. If anyone tries to do that we will have a fierce conflict with them.
