It's Time For Everyone To Learn Sex Education.

World AIDS Day is observed on December 1 every year. AIDS should be eradicated from the world, but the fact that it has not been so has threatened the existence of the entire human race. It is sad that although the society is informed about AIDS using different themes year after year, the number of AIDS patients is increasing. The theme of AIDS Day celebration in 2022 will be "Save Equality". The theme of Save Equality emphasizes the treatment of people living with AIDS without discrimination in society and aims to help them succeed in their future existence. In Bangladesh, in the first nine months of this year, more than four hundred people infected with HIV have been reported and there are more than seven hundred people who are roaming in the society without knowing that they have AIDS. This is a very dangerous situation. It is a very alarming situation that among the youth community in Bangladesh, the number of HIV infected people is increasing rapidly and 35% of the youth community is between the ages of 15-35 years. The spread of such serious diseases in the youth community of a country whose economy has suffered a major collapse is a serious threat facing the entire society.

The rapid increase in unprotected sex in the youth community is on the one hand a problem of lack of proper sexual health education. Although sex is a basic human need, keeping it unprotected at will without any knowledge is a reason that not only those people but also their families and the entire society will be a great disaster. The importance of providing health education to children from an early age in Bangladesh is clear from the prevalence of social diseases like this. The spread of social diseases in developing countries will increase rapidly because health education is not properly carried out in school education. Although health knowledge is provided in school education, sexual health is not given more depth. If that happens, AIDS will not increase among the youth community.
In order to rid the society of AIDS, sex education should be given to everyone properly. The students entering secondary and tertiary education after school education should also be given knowledge and understanding about sexual health through those courses. This counseling must be provided especially to the students entering the government university and the students entering the private university. The awareness of creating and maintaining safer relationships with parents, teachers and a student coming out of school should be discussed in the open society. This is not something to hide and be ashamed of, but a life lesson that should be learned with great enthusiasm.
