সারা বিশ্বের সাথে তাল মিলিয়ে বাংলাদেশেও সামেনের দিকে এগিয়ে চলেছে। রাজধানী উন্নয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষের (রাজউক) রাজধানীর পূর্বাচলে নতুন একটি শহর গড়ে তোলার প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করেছে।

জানা গেছে, নতুন শহরে প্রতিটি ব্লকে থাকবে পার্ক, খেলার মাঠ, মসজিদ ও গভীর নলকূপ। এছাড়া প্রতিটি ভবনে যেন সূর্যের আলো প্রবেশ করতে পারে সে ব্যবস্থা থাকবে।

ইতোমধ্যে মেগা প্রকল্প হাতে নেয়া হয়েছে। এই প্রকল্পে ১৭টি হাই-রাইজ অ্যাপার্টমেন্ট ব্লকে মোট ৬০ হাজার ফ্ল্যাট নির্মাণ করা হবে।
