Ghanim Al Muftah, born on May 5th 2002, lives with a rare genetic condition known as “Caudal Regression Syndrome (CDS)”. A baby born with CDS may look like a child born without a lower body because the lower body develops irregularly.

Although such a person has the ability to engage in daily activities using a wheelchair, Ghanim often does not use the wheelchair. He takes the ship in his own hands and moves around. After Ghanim was conceived, many people suggested to Ghanim's parents to abort the fetus. Some thought that his disability would be a great sadness, but Ghanim's parents decided to brave the difficult period ahead.

A difficult start
Ghanim's childhood was difficult not only physically. He was also mentally affected. In the beginning it was difficult for him to go to school due to the teasing and bullying of his classmates. However, it is said that his mother was very patient with the school. Ghanim's mother advised him to talk to his classmates and teach them about his condition. From there, she tried to develop her child's personality until informing the community.

From the young age of 13, he emerged as a strong figure in humanitarian movements. Under the programme, he visited a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon and joined a project to build a new sports center to help five thousand children.
